Harper Construction Company, Inc. has been awarded a CM-at-Risk agreement to provide both Phase 1 preconstruction and Phase 2 construction services. Phase 1 services include, among other responsibilities, constructibility review, estimating, logistics, and the development, bidding and award of various subtrade bid packages for the project. Harper Construction Company, Inc.. is the University's designated Construction Manager-at-risk and is currently seeking bids from interested subcontractors.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The UCSB San Joaquin Apartments project consists of a new 1,000-bed residential community and a planned dining facility, which will be constructed on the property surrounding an existing ten-story twin tower complex called Santa Catalina Hall (SCH).
The Project site is located on the northeast corner of Storke Road and El Colegio Road and is adjacent to an existing residential community to the north and an environmentally sensitive wetland to the east. The site is approximately one mile west of the main UCSB campus.
